To collect your wristband on the night, please show your E-Ticket to a member of Student Shopping UK staff when you arrive at any of our Event Check In Desks, these will be located;
1. Friars Walk (near Debenhams)

Q1. I am disabled, can my carer gain entry, even though he/she is not a student?
A1. Yes. All the stores are accessible on the first level with lifts located near the car park and bus station. However, only those who have registered and hold valid Student ID will be able to take advantage of the student offers.
Q2. Are there Queue Zones?
A2. Yes. The queue will form near Vodafone and Jeffries
Q3. I am a general shopper- can I attend Student Night?
A3. Yes, you can shop but you will not receive the designated student discounts. To receive discount you will need to have registered and have valid Student ID.
Q4. I don’t have an NUS card or acceptance letter and I am in 6th form / college / university. How can I prove I’m a student?
A4. Ask your teacher to draft a letter confirming your place at school/ college/ university. It must be on letter headed paper. You will then need to bring this with you on the night.
Q5. Can I bring my friend who isn’t a student to the event?
A4. Yes, but they won’t receive discount
Friars Walk car park holds up to 350 cars and the car park is signposted on the major routes into Newport. Our address is below:

Friars Walk is only a 5-minute walk from the train station. When leaving Newport station concourse, cross Queensway and proceed down Bridge Street. Cross Westgate Square and continue along Commercial Street. From here turn left at either Corn Street, Austin Friars or Llanarth Street and you will arrive at Friars Walk. If arriving at Friars Walk by bicycle, you will find under cover bike racks at the Debenhams end of the car park, as well as outside in Usk Plaza.
